FOOD EXPERIENCE

Gabriele Zecca is recognized as one of the leading experts in the field of Food.
An Economics and Business graduate with a specialization in Food Marketing (thesis and work experience at Parmalat). For sixteen years now, I have been working in Strategic Marketing (10 years), Commerce (3 years) and in General Management (3 years) for some of the most important multinationals in the food sector (Danone, Galbani, Barilla).

While working as General Manager for Barilla UK, I was responsible for commercial channels in retail and restaurant services in the UK and Ireland.

In 2004, my entrepreneurial journey began and I developed an Innovation Model in outsourcing for companies dedicated to the food sector.
My work has brought together the consumer experience (marketing) and product approach (industrial design) methodologies. Top companies have used this model to develop first rate projects which are still on the market today and which have become successful case studies.

In 2008 I set up Synergy Business e Finanza S.r.l. an innovation and internationalisation project incubator with a strong food focus. The clients are the best indicator of the validity of a model and of the networks involved in such activities. I have also achieved particular success in obtaining assisted funds to support clients not simply with new project ideas but also with tangible financial support.

Since 2011, I have been working with M&A International as a food expert in the assessment and selection of potential companies targeted for acquisition by both foreign clients and financial investors.
In 2012, the Food Sector Innovation model took physical form as the FOODLAB CENTER, in which the competences of Gabriele Zecca and the technological and ingredient expertise of the team that I put together was added to my own (www.foodlabcenter.it). This evolution has enabled me to develop proprietary projects as well as setting up a logistics base in Dubai for the exportation and commercial management of food products in the UAE.

My cutting-edge vision and avant-garde perspective has also led me to create AREA 2015 with four other specialised companies. The objective is to work alongside Italian food companies in their participation in the most important global exhibition of the next twenty years: EXPO 2015 (www.area2015.com). This consolidated international network has enabled Italian SMEs to enter the international market in both the Retail and Food Servise channels with a European focus.

From an instructional viewpoint, I have been teaching strategic marketing and design for innovation on the Sole 24 Ore Management Training courses since 2006 and I have been teaching on the Sole 24 Ore Executive Master course since 2013.

I also participate in the most important international fairs and events dedicated to food and have been invited to take part in specialist round tables and meetings on international trends.
